Join us for the Opening Reception of "Miro: Original Lithographs" and "Surrealism in Mexican Art" this weekend! Friday April 20th from 5pm-9pm and Saturday April 21st from 11am-5pm Marija Temo, a virtuoso classical/flamenco guitarist will be performing a selection of flamenco guitar music starting at 6:30pm. Marija currently teaches at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, where she founded the Flamenco Guitar Program and has performed in countless solo concerts and in symphony orchestras. For April’s online exhibition, we are featuring art inspired by religion and spirituality. From 17th century to contemporary, these artworks present a variety of interpretations of the sacred and the spiritual.
Milwaukee Museum Tributes
On view now at David Barnett Gallery are four Winslow Homer original woodcut prints, coinciding with the current exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum: “Coming Away: Winslow Homer & England”.
