Jacob Obletz (American, b. 1975) has worked with horses much of his life. He grew up in Milwaukee, but has become comfortable in the woods, producing maple syrup and using Belgian draft horses to log the forests of Wisconsin. He has worked with horses much of his life, and his photographs of horses capture this lifelong fascination. This photograph of his horses in Ashland uses a shallow depth of field which gives the image a soft, Pictorialist quality.
