Artist Bio:

Georges de Feure did not spend much time in formal art education (which he initially pursued in Amsterdam); instead, he chose an independent path, following the Art Nouveau aesthetic of Jules Cheret. In addition to making prints, de Feure also designed furniture and cabaret theater designs for Le Chat Noir. 
This print is part of a commission from L'Estampe Moderne, a monthly print publication of many influential Art Nouveau painters and designers. Retour, or "The Return", showcases a fairy-tale land in which a beautiful woman dreams of the return of her prince.
