In this artwork Milwaukee-based artist Joan Dvorsky presents the viewer with a simple landscape, marked by three blue trees. The abstraction of the image and the simplicity of the color suggest evening and sunset, in contrast to the whiteness of the paper. The artwork incorporates a digital print of an earlier acrylic painting with hand-applied watercolor additions and is signed by Dvorsky in the lower right. The result is an intimate artwork showing a time-tested subject, all made with contemporary techniques.
