French Adolphe Giraldon was born in Marseille. A pupil of François Louis Français and Luc-Olivier Merson, Giraldon moved to live in Glasgow, where he became Professor of Decorative Arts at the Glasgow School of Art. The Beaux Arts in Toulouse has a number of Giraldon views of Venice. As a lithographer, Adolphe Giraldon was a contributor to Estampe moderne.
