Antonio Díaz Cortés

Antonio Diaz Cortes was an artist from a young age. He studied at the Potosino Institute of Fine Arts and has been described as an "Oriental Mystic Artist" by Artes de Mexico. He says, "The Subject that interests me is LIGHT. Regarding the form of the nude and geometrism, independent or mixed, sometimes with a certain erotic charge." He is influenced by both Pablo Picasso and Rufino Tamayo. "I always seek to cause amazement, first to myself, then to my colleagues who know the difficulties of achieving it and then to the common spectator, who does not know about the technical difficulties and the visual experience required to express an observation of nature combined with feeling."
