Émile Bemindt was a French artist active between 1859 and 1872 and is best known for work in the style of the Rococo Revival: During the late nineteenth century, there was a renewed interest in the Rococo and artists created new paintings like this to reflect the sensual images by such artist as François Boucher and Jean-Honoré Fragonard.
