Gerard Titus-Carmel

Gérard Titus-Carmel , born October 10 , 1942 in the 20th arrondissement of Paris , is a French painter , engraver , poet and draftsman. He has illustrated many books of poets and writers, and has published to date about thirty books, essays on art and collections of poetry. He lives and works in Oulchy-le-Château , in Aisne . Gérard Titus-Carmel studied at the Boulle school in Paris from 1958 to 1962 . He presents his first solo exhibition in 1964. Painter, draftsman and engraver, he participated in more than four hundred and fifty group exhibitions. Nearly two hundred solo exhibitions have been devoted to her throughout the world, where her work is represented in around a hundred museums and public collections. He has produced monumental works for the Ministry of Finance in Paris, the DRAC Champagne-Ardenne in Châlons-en-Champagne and the Palais des Congrès in Nantes . He has illustrated many books of poets and writers and has published to date about forty books, essays and collections of poetry.
