Janice-Korinek Niedzialkowski
Born - May 9, 1963. She has had a love for drawing all of her life, but began to seriously study drawing at the age of 19 when, for 2 years, she took an informal drawing class with an artist friend. From that point on, she is basically self-taught and believes hard work and much practice are the best teachers. For the past 7 years, she has attended weekly figure drawing sessions which, for a small fee, a nude model is provided. Here, she has the opportunity to network with other artists and here she met her husband, Joseph Niedzialkowski. The drawings you see here at the David Barnett Gallery are the results of these sessions. Along with learning to draw, she also did stained glass during that time and even owned a stained glass studio from 1989-1992 where she created custom lamps, windows, and panels on a commissioned basis. Her stained glass pieces are created directly from many drawings and studies from nature. She shows her stained glass pieces in galleries in Minocqua, Door County and Cedarburg. 1993
