He started carving in 1989 with Kennedy Migeal and was further encouraged by Roy Guthrie, the founder and curator of the famous Chapungu Gallery in Harare. Well known for his abstract creations, John is a vibrant and dedicated sculptor whose work is very creative, original and well polished. His art shows incredible imagination and spirituality. Many of John's sculptures can be found in private collections and galleries around the world including the USA, Canada, Belgium, Holland, Germany, United Kingdom and Australia. He and his wife Georgina were married in 1999 and have one girl, Millicent, who was born in 2000.
