Artist Statement:

"Childhood is a unique and a precious time in a person’s life. We come into this world with a clear purpose and determination to live it. It's during our early stages in life when we really know who we are and what we want. We get to experience love for the first time, true love, the one that is not conditioned by any means. We laugh and smile only when we mean it and we cry if we are hurt, no emotions are manipulated, we just feel. If I have to use a single word to describe childhood, that word would be purity. With time things start to change and what it was clear and bright, little by little starts to turn blurry and dim down its light. Society, culture, family and everything around us imprints in our consciousness fears and limiting believes about who we are and who we should be. Little by little we move away from ourselves to become one more, until one day the journey of going back home begins. The purpose of this path is to come back to where we started, but this time knowing our way home and being able to share with others what we learn along the way. With my photographs, I aim to create a bridge to childhood, tap into the emotions associated with the simple things in life, those that when seeing through the eyes of a child become magical. I invite you to a journey where sharks swim in teacups, boats navigate across an alphabet soup and polar bears live in north pole made of marshmallow. A journey where everything is possible even be that child again. "
