Richard George Hinchcliffe

Richard George Hinchcliffe was a British visual artist who was born in 1868. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Portrait of Miss Upward, c. 1930' sold at Shapiro Auctioneers 'Fine Furniture, Paintings, Decorative & Asian Arts' in 2015. The artist died in 1942. Richard married Florence Williams 1890 in Liverpool . They had a least 2 children :- Walter George Raymond Hinchliffe ( b 10 Jun 1894 possibly Germany ) & Gladys ( 1897 Germamy) . Walter is well known as being the aviator lost with the P & O heiress on an attempt to fly the Atlantic ( 1st attempt to fly Britian to New York with a female passenger on 14 March 1928 ) .
