The present work, "Daydream," is an offset lithograph after the original painting by John Asaro – and it is a work glowing with light. In the image, a young girl in a pink dress leans from her wicker chair to her side table. Bright sunlight showers the scene, giving the effect of summer heat and relaxation.

John Asaro’s brilliant paintings are a feast for the eyes. Using the figure as a vehicle for color exploration, each hue is exaggerated and pushed to its extreme, making each kaleidoscopic painting a tempting platter. Whether he focuses on dancers in repose or balletic swimmers, Asaro’s works show evidence of his fascination with dance in physicality and lyricism.
